Butler-Bremer Communications is an advanced communications company located in Northeast Iowa, just 30 Miles north of the Cedar Falls/Waterloo metro-plex, providing voice, data, and video services. Butler-Bremer uses a MetaSwitch/Calix platform, utilizing an extensive IP network in the deployment of multiple services and is an active fiber-to-the-home distribution system throughout the service area. The company is currently looking to add a Network Technician to its workforce. Duties would include:
Perform all non-supervisory plant operations as needed; install, maintain and service customer premise equipment; install drop (wire/fiber drop), install network interface devices, perform initial wiring or rewiring at subscriber premise; and activate fiber-to-the-home services. Be familiar with all facilities of the local exchange distribution network, involved in diagnosing and repairing trouble in plant and distribution facilities.
Butler-Bremer provides a competitive compensation and benefit package; no experience required although a plus; must have a valid driver’s license. Any offer of employment is contingent upon the results of a background check.
